Kings Canyon is about 330 kilometres south west of Alice Springs and roughly 3.5hours drive from Uluru.

This was a pretty long day. We left Uluru around 6:30am to try to get to Kings Canyon by before 10:00am before it got too hot.

The plan was to spend about 3 hours (or so) walking the Canyon, and then continue onto Alice Springs where we would stop for our last night before flying home to Melbourne. It was about 37deg that day.

Yin Ling and Ernie decided to do the full canyon rim walk (about 6kms) and the rest of us decided on the shorter 4km walk. Spectacular views - hot, and very very windy - but so glad we did it.

The photos pretty much speak for themselves.
It was very windy, but the trail was well marked and relatively easy. Very ancient landscape, and another sacred site for the indigenous people.

(3) Mary photographed some of the wildlife (4) The obligatory people shot at the top of the walk.
(2) We met up with Ernie and Yin Ling at the top of canyon, and all came back down together.
