We drove the van over to the Mt Cook National Park and then took a walk to a frozen lake for lunch. The weather was bright and sunny, but as you can see from the photos the air temperature still relatively cool in the shade.

This would have to be one of the best short walks in the world!

Check the last photo on this row - yes - those are iceburgs. We sat down by this lake, soaked our weary feet (brrrr!), had lunch, and had a stone skipping competition.
