Back

We set off to do a walk to the Rob Roy Glacier. You can see where it is in the first photo - circled in green in the top left of the picture. Unfortunately after driving through the back roads for about two hours to get there, we came upon a creek crossing. The van we hired had a very low profile and we were afraid that we would not be able to get across the creek without getting bogged or washed away. To make matters worse, the sign said that this was the first of about nine or ten more river crossings before we get to the starting point for the glacier walk. Reluctantly we had to abort the walk, and instead spent the time exploring the river.
